Much travel...
At Rato Dratsang we build a new pavilion with a throne for His Holiness the Dalai Lama
and my fan is fixed... it is hot at Rato
Then back to Delhi where it's even hotter
So hot the tea walla has little work
And the photographer and his assistant have even less
And the florist covers his flowers
And the dogs enjoy their siesta
Though the milkman keeps on rolling
Then, up to Dharamsala
Where Rinpoche is well looked after by his nun doctor
He keeps track of world tragedies
To then pray for us all
I return to Delhi to see Professor Chander who advises us on water conservation
and enjoy the jolly mood of Bhogal market
Everyone is jolly!
Though some are hot and tired
Too hot to do their ironing
while the egg seller precooks his eggs
And I hang out with the gang
Back in India...
We have arrived in Delhi
Driven through the Punjab
and reached Dharamsala
where Rinpoche goes to work
wherever he is
before going to the mountain
With its view of more mountains
before returning home
to circumambulate the main temple
and receive the blessings of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion
And after a brief rest in front of the prayer wheels along the back of the temple,
take medicine
and go to bed
Taiwan...
Je ne comprends pas le chinois, timpudong, but that's alright
I like the food
And warm welcome
I photograph trees
many trees
many many trees
Then Rinpoche got sick
He was warmly welcomed
wonderfully cared for
watched over
And prayed for all
The Wonderful Doctor Perng
Lovely nurse Fiona
And the good man who brought food
Delicious food
And the enchanting Dr. Anna Li who helped behind the scene in every way
and Peggy
Head of the ward, Miss Huang
and the Grand General of the hospital's Nursing Staff with her entourage
and...
many
many more...
Rinpoche spoke of the difficulty of meditating on taking on the pain of others, particularly when confronted with so much suffering
Though he surely did so
While doing his exercises
and walking through the ward
and resting between laps
The treatment was successful!!
It was time to go
Say bye bye
And on our way with Nita who made our stay so comfortable, and Mr. Lee who did the needful
And return to Changhua
where Rinpoche continues his treatment
and welcomes well-wishers
while I resume my pursuit of trees
