A quick trip around and about...

First to Rougemont to talk about photography and Buddhism and life

and listen to Bach in the Rougemont church

and enjoy a gastronomic extravaganza in the mountains.

And then a visit to Savoie and to the grave of dear Corinna to whom I owe SO much!!!

On to Northern Ireland, to stay in Castle Ward Junior

with cousin Rachel and Nick

and visit this little fellow

as well as my father, who seems in wonderful shape

with Sandra, his new lady.

Much work going on at Castle Ward Junior.

Ireland is very beautiful!

And on to New Jersey where Ling Rinpoche visited Khyongla Rinpoche’s home

and blessed our Kunkhyab Thardo Ling Retreat Center.

And now back in India, enjoying the end of monsoon as I get over my jetlag...

A sudden trip to Delhi...

A return to Jangpura, where I hadn’t been in years.  Taxi drivers I must have known as children

Their fathers who refused to use their meters

and rickshaw cyclists

who work through thick and thin,

I took refuge in the neighborhood dive

cared for by its kind owner

and dropped in on old neighborhood friends

Then took my camera for a walk

through different neighborhoods

and parks

To Old Delhi… no time for ear cleaning

or even a shave

But found a hidden path upward, I suppose

Life on my veranda...

The tree crawls in

It’s cut back, a spider’s web remains

Suresh serves momos for lunch

Tonight it pours

Monsoon...

The monastery is overgrown

our new pavilion well cured

the painter prepares the painting that will adorn its back wall

Things must be kept clean and tidy

as jungle creeps in

Young monks prepare for their memorization exams

and others work

Our administrator prepares our new science room

all under the gaze of our new disciplinarian

whom some fear

though not all!
